the widow shall be entitled to receive relief from the said
Police Relief and Retirement Fund in an amount not exceed-
ing Sixty ($60. 00) Dollars per month, and each child under
the age of sixteen years in an amount not exceeding Ten
($10. 00) Dollars per month; provided, that upon remarriage
of any widow granted relief under the provisions of this sub-
title such relief shall cease, and relief granted to or for any
child or children under the age of sixteen years shall cease
upon their reaching that age; provided, further, that no
widow, child or children of any deceased member of the said
Police Force resulting from any marriage contracted subse-
quent to the date of retirement of such member shall be
entitled to any relief under the provisions of this sub-title.

The Police Civil Service Commissioner is authorized to
certify the payment from the said Police Relief and Retire-
ment Fund of a sum not exceeding Seventy-Five ($75. 00) Dol-
lars in any one case to defray funeral expenses of any deceased
member of the Police Department of said county, dying while
in the service thereof.

SEC. 2. And 'be, it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 831.

(House Bill 892)

AN ACT to add a new section to the Code of Public Local
Laws of Montgomery County (1939 Edition), being Article
16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"Montgomery County", sub-title "County Commissioners
and Treasurer", said new section to be known as Section
186A and to follow immediately after Section 186 of said
Code, authorizing the County Commissioners to transfer, as-
sign and reassign from time to time certain officers and em-
ployees of Montgomery County from one department to an-
other, and to appoint permanent or temporary employees.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to the Code
of Public Local Laws of Montgomery County (1939 Edition),
being Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land title "Montgomery County", sub-title "County Commis-
sioners and Treasurer", said new section to be known as Sec-
tion 186A, to follow immediately after Section 186 of said
Code, and to read as follows:
