land, title "Montgomery County", sub-title "Montgomery
County Suburban District", said new section to be known as
Section 712A, and to follow immediately after Section 712 of
said Article, and to read as follows:

712A. The Board of County Commissioners of Montgomery
County may, by ordinance or resolution, empower the Police
Department of said County at any time to designate any
streets and areas within the Suburban District as "Emergency
No Parking" zones and/or temporarily to prohibit vehicular
and pedestrian traffic on such streets and in such areas, in the
event of emergencies such as fires, riots, accidents or other
events likely to attract large crowds.

The violation of any ordinance passed by the Board of
County Commissioners under this authorization shall consti-
tute a misdemeanor and shall be punishable by fine not to
exceed f 100. 00 or imprisonment not to exceed six months, or
both, in the discretion of the Court.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1st, 1941.

CHAPTER 827.
(House Bill 873)

AN ACT to add a new section to the Code of Public Local
Laws of Montgomery County (1939 Edition—being Article
16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title
"Montgomery County", sub-title "County Commissioners
and Treasurer", sub-heading "County Purchasing Agent",
said new section to be known as Section 190B and to follow
immediately after Section 190A of said Code, relating to
the powers of the County Purchasing Agent.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1939 Edition—being
Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "Montgomery County", sub-title "County Commissioners
and Treasurer", sub-heading "County Purchasing Agent", said
new section to be known as Section 190B, to follow imme-
diately after Section 190A of said Code, and to read as fol-
lows:
