CHAPTER 117.
(House Bill 41)

AN ACT to repeal Section 132 of Article 48A of Flack's Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Insurance",
sub-title "Life, Accident and Health Insurance", the section
so repealed relating to the conversion of Mutual Life In-
surance Companies to Stock Insurance Companies.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 132 of Article 48A of Flack's Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Insurance", sub-title
"Life, Accident and Health Insurance", be and the same is
hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 118.
(House Bill 212)

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Town Commissioners
of Upper Marlboro, a municipal corporation, to borrow upon
the faith and credit of said municipal corporation, a sum not
exceeding $8, 000 for the purpose of completing the construc-
tion of a sewerage system in the town of Upper Marlboro.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Town Commissioners of Upper Marlboro, a
municipal corporation, is hereby authorized and empowered to
borrow upon the faith and credit of said municipal corporation
a sum not exceeding f 8, 000 for the purpose of completing the
construction of a sewerage system in said town, and the Town
Commissioners of Upper Marlboro is authorized to execute
promissory note or notes of said municipal corporation for the
