Baltimore & Drum Point Railroad Company.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 158-162, inclusive, of Article 5
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Calvert County", sub-title "Internal Improve-
ments", be and they are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1st, 1941.

CHAPTER 114.
(House Bill 213)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 17 of the Annotated
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Prince
George's County", sub-title "Upper Marlboro", to follow
after Section 1008 and to be known as Section 1008A,
authorizing the Town Commissioners of Upper Marlboro,
Maryland, to levy an additional tax not exceeding 30 on
each one hundred dollars of the assessable property in said
town, for general purposes.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and is hereby added to Article 17
of the Annotated Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Prince George's County", sub-title "Upper Marlboro",
to follow after Section 1008 and to be known as Section 1008A,
as follows:

1008A. The Town Commissioners of Upper Marlboro is
hereby authorized and empowered to levy an additional tax
for general purposes of not over or exceeding 30 on each one
hundred dollars of the assessable property within the limits
of the town of Upper Marlboro in addition to the taxes now
levied.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and having
been passed upon a yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths of all of the members elected to each of the two Houses
of the General Assembly, the same shall take effect from the
date of its passage.
