diate preservation of the public health and safety, and being
passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of
all of the members of the two Houses of the General Assembly,
the same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 752.
(House Bill 723)

AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commissioners
of Anne Arundel County to take over and maintain as
County roads certain alleys in Eastport.

WHEREAS,, the State laws provide that all County roads must
be at least thirty (30) feet wide; and

WHEREAS, there are certain alleys in Eastport which do
not meet these requirements but which are nevertheless used as
public highways; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to take over
and maintain as public roads the following alleys in Eastport,
Election District No. 2 and West of 6th Street:

(a) That section of alley, between Burnside Street and
Sixth Street, and running from Bay Ridge Avenue to Creek
View Avenue;

(b) That section of alley between State Street and Burn-
side Street and running from Chester Avenue to Chesapeake
Avenue;

(c) That section of alley on the westerly side of State
Street and running parallel with State Street from Chester
Avenue to Bay Ridge 4venue;

(d) That section of alley between Chesapeake Avenue and
Bay Ridge Avenue leading from Chesapeake Avenue and
running in a northerly direction to Bay Ridge Avenue;

(e) That section of alley between Chesapeake Avenue and
Bay Ridge Avenue leading from the intersection with an alley
above mentioned and running in an easterly direction to in-
tersect with an alley also above mentioned which lies on the
westerly side of State Street;

(f) All of the above alleys are shown on plat entitled Re-
vised Street Names in Eastport and Vicinity and recorded
