of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Talbot County", sub-
title "County Treasurer" so as to authorize the Treasurer
to employ a clerk and such other assistants as he may deem
necessary to assist him in the proper performance of the
work of his office, and to prescribe their duties, and to pro-
vide that such clerk and assistants shall be paid by the
County Commissioners of Talbot County such compensation
as said Commissioners may fix and determine, and to require
such clerk and assistants to file a bond for the faithful per-
formance of his or her duties, respectively, in such an
amount, and with such surety or sureties thereon, as said
Commissioners may direct.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 107 and 108 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Talbot County", sub
title "County Treasurer" be, and the same are hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, so as to read as follows:

107. The Treasurer shall appoint a clerk and such other
assistants as he may deem necessary to assist him in the
proper performance of the work of his office, and who shall
perform such duties as he may require, of them, respectively.

108. The compensation to be paid to such clerk and other
assistants as may be appointed by said County Treasurer,
shall be fixed and determined by the County Commissioners of
Talbot County, who shall pay the same in equal monthly in-
stallments; such clerk and assistants shall each be required to
file a bond with said County Commissioners, conditioned upon
the faithful performance of his or her respective duties, in such
an amount, and with such surety or sureties thereon, as may
be directed by said County Commissioners of Talbot County.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.
