held in said town, under the provisions of any Act requiring
an election to be held in said town for any town purpose what-
soever, so long as they remain on the registration books of
said town.

44C. It shall be the duty of the Mayor, on or before the
first day of March, 1942, and every two years thereafter, to
appoint as Registrars of voters in the said town, two resident
taxpayers and qualified voters of the town of Boonsboro. The
Registrars so appointed shall qualify within five days after
their appointments, and shall, before entering upon the dis-
charge of their duties, make oath in due form of law before
some Notary Public or Justice of the Peace of Washington
County, Maryland, that they, severally, will fairly, faithfully
and honestly perform their duties as such Registrars, and on
the failure of any such Registrars to serve or qualify, the
Mayor shall appoint some other person duly qualified as sub-
stitute, and said substitute, after having taken the oath afore-
said, shall hold office for the unexpired term. The Registrars
so appointed shall also act as Judge and Clerk respectively, at
any special or general election held in the said town of Boons-
boro, and shall receive such compensation for their services as
the Mayor and Council may see fit.

44D. It shall be the duty of the Mayor and Council of the
town of Boonsboro to furnish the Registrars with suitable
books in which to register voters, according to the provisions
of this Act.

44E. The Mayor and Council shall give at least ten daysy
notice of the date, place, and hours of each registration day
as herein provided, by posting notices in five or more public
places in said town.

44F. There shall be a registration of the qualified voters
of Boonsboro on the last Tuesday in April and the first Tues-
day in May of the year 1942, and on the same days every two
years thereafter, at which times the said Registrars shall sit
for the performance of their duties from twelve o'clock noon
until eight o'clock P. M. If necessary for the performance of
their duties, or for the convenience of the citizens of Boons-
boro, the Mayor may appoint another day or other days for
such sitting of the Registrars.

44G. The registration to be held on the last Tuesday in
April and the first Tuesday in May of the year 1942, shall
be a general registration of the qualified voters of Boonsboro,
and no person shall be allowed to vote at any town election
held thereafter until he or she shall have been registered at
such time, or at some succeeding registration day.
