CHAPTER 405.
(Senate Bill 353)
AN ACT to amend Article 32 of the Code of Public General
Laws of Maryland, 1935 Supplement, Flack's Edition,
title "Dentistry", as said Article was amended by Chap-
ter 306 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, 1937 Regular Session, by adding a new section to
follow immediately after Section 22 of said Article, and
to be known as Section 23, for the purpose of prohibiting
advertising as therein set forth.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be added to Article 32 of
the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, 1935 Sup-
plement, Flack's Edition, title "Dentistry", as said Article
was amended by Chapter 306 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, 1937 Regular Session, said new
section to follow immediately after Section 22 of said
Article, and to be known as Section 23, and to read as
follows:
23. Any dental laboratory, person, corporation, entity,
partnership, or group of persons, who shall solicit or adver-
tise by mail, card, newspaper, pamphlet, radio or otherwise,
to the general public, to construct, produce or repair pros-
thetic dentures, bridges, plates, appliances, or other appli-
ances, to be used or worn as substitutes for natural teeth,
or regulation of natural teeth, shall be guilty of a misde-
meanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be fined not
less than $50. nor more than $300. or be confined not less
than fifteen (15) days in jail.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1st, 1939.
