same. Provided, however, that in Spauldings Election District
in Prince George's County any such company is hereby
authorized and empowered to purchase, hold, or use up to,
but not in excess of, one hundred and twenty-five acres of
land in one tract for such purpose.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1939.

CHAPTER 361.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments. Section 54
of Article 7 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Carroll County", sub-title "Elections",
providing for the salaries of the Supervisors of Elections
of Carroll County and of their secretary and attorney.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 54 of Article 7 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Carroll County", sub-
title "Elections", be and the same is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
54. The Supervisors of Elections of Carroll County shall
receive an annual salary of four hundred dollars ($400. 00)
each. The secretary to the Supervisors of Elections shall re-
ceive an annual salary of two hundred and fifty dollars
($250. 00). The attorney for the Supervisors of Elections shall
receive an annual salary of one hundred and fifty dollars
($150. 00). All other expenses shall be in the discretion of the
County Commissioners of said county.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1939.
