Insurance Commissioner, and duly signed by said broker's
solicitor and by said broker, and there shall have been issued
by the Insurance Commissioner a license to act as such
broker's solicitor, for which license there shall be paid to
the Insurance Commissioner the sum of twenty-five dollars by
or for each such broker's solicitor. Said license shall bear the
name of the broker's solicitor to whom issued and of the
broker for whom he is authorized to act and shall authorize
said broker's solicitor named therein to solicit insurance
and re - insurance in the name of said broker, but not in his
own name, or in the name of any other person, firm or cor-
poration, and further to aid in any proper and lawful man-
ner said broker in negotiating contracts of insurance and re-
insurance, in the name of said broker, but shall not author-
ize or permit said broker's solicitor to act in or use his own
name in soliciting or negotiating any contracts of insurance
or re-insurance or in any renewal or renewals of any such
contracts, or to deliver any policy or bill to any assured or
collect any premium of insurance in his own name or in any
other manner than in the name of and as the agent of said
broker. If any such license shall be issued for any portion
of any year, a ratable sum shall be charged therefor up to
the first day of May next succeeding the date of such applica-
tion. The broker for whom any such solicitor shall act under
such license may place any insurance procured by or through
said solicitor in any company and in the same manner and
to the same extent as if said business had been procured or
negotiated directly by said broker.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1939.

(House Bill 592)

AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commissioners of
Garrett County to levy eighteen thousand dollars for the
year 1941 for the construction and equipment of new school
buildings at North Glade and McHenry in said County and
to provide for the construction of said buildings and author-
izing the County Board of Education to borrow a sum of
money for the construction and equipment of a new school
building at Bloomington and authorizing and directing the
