SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1939.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 187
of Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Anne Arundel County", sub-
title "Circuit Court", providing for the disposition of all
fines imposed and recognizances forfeited in Anne Arundel
County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 187 of Article 2 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Anne Arundel
County", sub-title "Circuit Court", be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
187. One-half of the fines imposed and recognizances for-
feited to the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County shall
be paid to the clerk of said court to be expended under the
direction of the judge or judges of said court for the augmenta-
tion of the library of said court. All provisions of the Code
of Public General Laws and all acts or parts of acts hereto-
fore or hereafter passed making any application of fines and
forfeitures or portions therefor, inconsistent with the pro-
visions of this section shall be construed as meaning that in
Anne Arundel County one-half of such fines and forfeitures
shall be paid to the clerk of said court to be expended as
provided in this section and the other one-half shall be paid
to the County Commissioners of said County for the use of
the County, unless it be expressly stated therein that in Anne
Arundel County it shall be otherwise disposed of.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1939.
