718 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 330

Frances Mallen and the Elkton Banking and Trust Com-
pany on May 9, 1936, and recorded in Liber W. R. B. No. 4,
folio 345, one of the Deed books of Cecil County, Maryland.

PROVIDED: However that the said Benjamin and Mallen
shall, at the time of the delivery to them of said deed by
the Board of Public Works, deliver in exchange there or
to the said Board of Public Works, a deed conveying to the
State of Maryland, a good and marketable title, free of all
liens and encumbrances in and to a tract of land now
owned by the said Benjamin and Mallen, and described as
follows: "Beginning at a stone situated on the south side
of U. S. Route No. 40 which is the beginning of the
Cosden-Mallen tract, thence following the south edge of the
right-of-way of U. S. Route No. 40 S 86 degrees W 544 feet to
a concrete marker the place of beginning for the parcel of
land to be conveyed, thence still following the right-of-way
south edge S 86 degrees W 300 feet to a concrete marker,
thence leaving the right-of-way S 4 degrees E 300 feet to a
concrete marker, thence N 86 degrees E 300 feet to a con-
crete marker, thence N 4 degrees W 300 feet to point of
beginning of said parcel containing 2. 066 acres more or less.
Being part of the property connveyed to Joseph R. Ben-
jamin and Jane Frances Mallen on April 22, 1937, and
recorded in Liber W. R. B. No. 6, folio 229, one of the Deed
Books of Cecil County, Maryland.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect on June 1, 1939.

Approved May 3, 1939.

CHAPTER 330.

(Senate Bill 375)

AN ACT to add one new section to Article 2 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Anne Arundel County', sub-title "Police Department",
said new section to be known as Section 406FA, and to
follow immediately after 406-F of said Article, as said
section was added by Chapter 192 of the Acts of 1937,
relating to disposition of certain money and property by.
the Police Department of Anne Arundel County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to
