(Senate Bill 213)

AN ACT to authorize the Board of Regents of the Uni-
versity of Maryland to sell and convey certain parcels
of real estate in Baltimore County, granted them by
deeds of gift from Charles E. McManus and Eva M.
McManus, his wife, and Charles E. McManus, Jr., and
to use the net proceeds from said sale or sales in the
construction of the poultry building and poultry plant
now being erected at College Park.

WHEREAS, on January 31, 1938, Charles E. McManus
and Eva M. McManus, his wife, by deed of gift granted
unto the University of Maryland two certain parcels of
land in the Eighth Election District of Baltimore County,
the first parcel being known as "Spring Hills Farm", con-
taining eighty-six and five hundred and seventy-three one-
thousandths (86 573/1000) acres more or less, and the
second parcel being part of a tract known as "Willow
Mill", containing eighteen and three hundred and twenty-
seven one-thousandths (18 327/1000) acres more or less;
and

WHEREAS, on January 31, 1938, Charles E. McManus,
Jr., by deed of gift conveyed unto the University of Mary-
land a certain parcel of land in the Eighth Election Dis-
trict of Baltimore County being part of "Durham Farm",
containing one hundred and seventy-eight one-thousandths
(107 78/1000) acres more or less; and

WHEREAS, the University of Maryland is desirous of
selling and disposing of said parcels of land and using the
net proceeds thereof in the construction of the poultry
building and poultry plant now being erected at College
Park, now therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Board of Regents of the University of
Maryland, be and it is hereby authorized to sell and convey
separately, or together, for the best price, or prices, obtain-
able, either at public or private sale, the following three
parcels of land in the Eighth Election District of Balti-
more County.

1. The first parcel being all of that parcel known as
"Spring Hills Farm", containing eighty-six and five hun-
dred and seventy-three one-thousandths acres more or less,
being and comprising all the land conveyed by the Liberty
