3. 13 acres of the property on which the County Home
and Sylvan Retreat are situated, and to repeal so far only
as may be necessary for the purpose of this Act, Chap-
ter 642 of the Acts of 1916.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Allegany
County are hereby authorized and empowered to sell and
convey or lease for any term of years in their discretion
to the State Roads Commission of Maryland, all that part
of the Property belonging to the said County Commission-
ers of Allegany County, and lying along the Valley Road
and inside of the City of Cumberland, Allegany County,
Maryland, and on which is located the County Home, Syl-
van Retreat and other buildings, for such purchase price
or upon such terms as shall in the opinion of said County
Commissioners, be most advantageous to Allegany County;
the said property so authorized to be sold or leased being
particularly described as follows:

All that piece or parcel of land lying and being in the
City of Cumberland, Allegany County, State of Maryland,
and in the County Election District Number 5, and being
a part of the County Farm, and beginning for the outlines
of the same at an iron fence post; said post being the
southwest corner of the County Garage lot and also at the
end of 25. 5 feet on the third line of lot Number 7 of Sec-
tion "J" as shown on a plat of the Cumberland Improve-
ment Company's Northern Addition to Cumberland, Mary-
land, and recorded among the Land Records of Allegany
County, Maryland, in Liber 85 folio 339, and running
thence from said beginning post, with a part of the third
line of the aforesaid lot Number 7, and the third line of
lot Number 6, and also with the Southwest fence of the
County Garage lot:

South 70 degrees and 30 minutes East 74. 5 feet and still
with the Southwest fence of the said County Garage lot,
South 70 degrees and 30 minutes East 200. 5 feet to the end
thereof, thence South 70 degrees and 30 minutes East, 61
feet to the south corner of the County Farm, thence with
the Southeast line of the said County Farm, North 34 de-
grees and 5 minutes East 369. 2 feet, thence leaving the
said Southeast line North 86 degrees and 45 minutes West,
418 feet, thence South 21 degrees and 15 minutes West
208. 3 feet to the Northwest corner of the County Garage
lot and with the Southwest fence of said lot, South 21 de-
grees and 15 minutes West 152 feet to the place of be-
ginning. Containing 3. 13 acres.
