"Police Department", as said section was enacted by Chap-
ter 192 of the Acts of 1937 (General Session), providing that
no levy shall be made in the sixth district of Anne Arundel
County for the support of the County Police Department,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That Section 406F of Article 2 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Anne Arundel
County", sub-title "Police Department", as said section was
enacted by Chapter 192 of the Acts of 1937 (General Session),
be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amend-
ments to read as follows:

406F. The County Commissioners of Anne Arundel Coun-
ty are hereby directed and authorized to levy each year a sum
sufficient for the payment of all members of the Anne Arundel
County Police Department and for the payment of the retire-
ment allowance or pension to all police officers retired under
the provisions of this sub-title, and for the purchase of motor
vehicles and for the operation, maintenance and repair of the
same as provided in this sub-title, together with such further
sum or sums as may be necessary to carry out the purpose and
intent of this Act, but no such levy shall be made against any
property or person in the sixth district of the County.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1939.

CHAPTER 220.
(House Bill 460)

AN ACT to declare a certain road in the Town of District
Heights, Prince George's County, Maryland, to be a County
Road under the supervision of the County Commissioners
of Prince George's County and subject to the County and
State laws governing County Roads, subject to certain
rights of The District Heights Commission with reference
to the grades at intersections with town streets, and in con-
nection with the laying of sidewalks.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That the street or road commonly known as "County
Road" located within the corporate limits of the Town of Dis-
trict Heights, Prince George's County, Maryland, running
