gess and Commissioners of Emmitsburg, a municipal cor-
poration, are hereby made liens upon the property served
by said sewers, and the same may be collected in the same
manner as county or municipal taxes are collected.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1939.

CHAPTER 189.
(Senate Bill 323)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
50 of Article 11 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, (1930 Edition), title "Frederick County",
sub-title "Brunswick", sub-heading "Water Works", as
said Section was amended by Chapter 258 of the Acts of
1933, making liens for water rents and charges preferred
liens over all other liens except taxes.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That Section 50 of Article 11 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, (1930 Edition), title
"Frederick County", sub-title "Brunswick", sub-heading
"Water Works", as said Section was amended, by Chapter
258 of the Acts of 1933, be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted with amendments to read as follows:

50. The said Mayor and Council shall have and are
hereby invested with full power and authority to enact and
pass all ordinances which from time to time they may deem
necessary and proper to execute the objects herein specified
and to regulate the introduction, management, protection,
use of and examination of the water works, the water
supply of said municipal corporation, and for the protection
and preservation of its works, machineries, all service and
distribution pipes, hydrants and improvements connected
therewith; to fix and establish rates or charges for the use
of the water, and for collecting and enforcing payment of
said water rents and charges, and which rents and charges
as well as all or any other monies received by the Mayor
and Council of Brunswick from taxes levied and collected
for general municipal purposes may be used by the Mayor
and Council for the payment of any and all municipal
obligations, debts and contracts, written or otherwise, that
