No part of the above funds shall be expended for any
purpose other than for the purchase, improvement, mainte-
nance and operation of fire apparatus and equipment for
said fire companies. The treasurer of each fire company
shall make an annual report to the County Commissioners
showing for what purposes the funds were expended, the
said report to be submitted within thirty (30) days after
the close of the fiscal year.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1st, 1939.

CHAPTER 188.
(Senate Bill 280)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 11 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Frederick County", subtitle "Emmitsburg", said new
section to be known as Section 184A, and to follow imme-
diately after Section 184 of said Article, making all
rents, rates and charges for the use and service of sew-
ers, as determined and charged by the Burgess and Com-
missioners of Emmitsburg, a municipal corporation, liens
upon the property used or served by sewers, and pro-
viding that same may be collected in the same manner
as county or municipal taxes are collected.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 11 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Frederick County", subtitle "Em-
mitsburg", said new section to be known as Section 184A
and to follow immediately after Section 184 of said Article
and to read as follows:

184A. The rent, rates and charges for the use or
service of sewers, as determined and charged by the Bur-
