"County Treasurer, " the same providing for the appoint-
ment and salary of the clerk to the County Treasurer.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That Section 103 of Article 14 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland of 1929, title "Howard
County, " subtitle "County Treasurer, " be and the same is
hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows:

103. There is hereby created in the office of the Treas-
urer of Howard County the position of Clerk to the Treas-
urer of said county, to be appointed by the Treasurer tat
a salary not exceeding fifteen hundred dollars ($1500)
per annumm, payable monthly, which salary shall be an-
nually levied for by the County Commissioners of Howard
County. The Clerk so appointed shall hold the position at
the pleasure of the Treasurer, and shall perform such
duties as shall be designated from time to time by the
Treasurer.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from June 1, 1939.

CHAPTER 18.
(Senate Bill 48)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 16 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition),
entitled "Montgomery County, " sub-title "Rockville, "
said new section to be known as Section 791B and to
follow immediately after Section 791A, to extend the
boundaries of the Town of Rockville in Montgomery
County; to make the inhabitants of such territory sub-
ject to the jurisdiction and authority now vested by
law in The Mayor and Council of Rockville and to all
ordinances of said Town now or hereafter to be enacted;
to make effective all laws and ordinances of said Town
of Rockville within such territory; to provide for the
taxation of property within such extended boundaries
and to give jurisdiction to said Town over the streets,
roads, avenues and alleys within such territory.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
