SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Board of County Commissioners of
Howard County be and they are hereby authorized and di-
rected, effective from June 1, 1939, to retire from active
duty Julius Wosch, Jr., a police officer of the Second Dis-
trict of said County for the past thirty-four years, and ac-
counting from June 1, 1939, to pay said Julius Wosch, Jr.,
an annual pension of One Thousand Dollars ($1, 000. 00),
in monthly installments on the first day of each month,
operative throughout the life of said Julius Wosch, Jr.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of Howard County are authorized and directed
to impose an annual tax on the assessable property within
the Second District of Howard County sufficient to pay the
pension in this Act provided, to be collected as other taxes
in said County are collected, and to continue as long as
said pension shall continue.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall
be effective from June 1, 1939.

(Senate Bill 281)
AN ACT to add a new Section to Article 16 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Montgomery County", sub-title "Rockville", said new
section to be known as Section 791-C and to follow im-
mediately after Section 791-B, to extend the boundaries
of the Town of Rockville in Montgomery County; to
make the inhabitants of such territory subject to the
jurisdiction and authority now vested by law in The
Mayor and Council of Rockville and to all ordinances of
said Town now or hereafter to be enacted; to make ef-
fective all laws and ordinances of said Town of Rockville
within such territory; to provide for the taxation of
property within such extended boundaries and to give
jurisdiction to said Town over the streets, roads, avenues
and alleys within such territory.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title, "Montgomery County, " sub-title,
"Rockville, " said section to be known as Section 791-C, to
