1706 JOINT RESOLUTIONS.

WHEREAS, the members of the General Assembly of Mary-
land believe that it would be desirable to include women in
the membership of the Boards of State Hospitals; and

WHEREAS, Governor HERBERT R. O'CONOR has always recog-
nized and expressed his deep appreciation of the splendid
public services rendered by the women of the State; there-
fore be it

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Governor be and he is hereby requested to give due recogni-
tion to the ability and public spirit of the women of Maryland
by including in his appointments to the Boards of Maryland
State Hospitals, the names of women of Maryland qualified
by ability and experience to serve as members of such boards.

(House Joint Resolution 36)

A Joint Resolution directing the State Roads Commission to
erect a bridge over the Little Annemessex River, at Crisfield.

WHEREAS, the present bridge over the Little Annemessex
River at Crisfield, which is a part of Highway No. 413, is in
very bad condition and will have to be replaced in the very
near future; therefore be it

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
State Roads Commission be and it is hereby directed to erect
a modern bridge over the Little Annemessex River, at Crisfield,
to replace the present bridge.
