JOINT RESOLUTIONS
NO. 1.
(Senate Joint Resolution 1)
A Joint Resolution presenting to Hon. Harry W. Nice, Gov-
ernor of Maryland, the desk used by him, the desk and
typewriter used by his personal secretary in the Government
House, and the two silk flags in the Hall of the Government
House.
WHEREAS, Hon. Harry W. Nice and his personal secretary
have used the desks and typewriter in his office in the Govern-
ment House during his term as Governor; and
WHEREAS, in recognition of the sentiment which attaches to
these pieces of furniture, as well as to the United States and
Maryland Flags which have been used in the Government
House and as a slight token of esteem for him; therefore be it
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
desks and typewriter used by the Governor and his personal
secretary in his office in the Government House, and the United
States and Maryland Flags in the Hall of the Government
House, be and they are hereby presented to Hon. Harry W.
Nice, Governor of Maryland, with the request that he accept
them as a token of the high esteem in which he is held by
the people of Maryland.

(House Joint Resolution 14)
A Joint Resolution requesting the Secretary of State to furnish
a sufficient number of Maryland Manuals to supply a copy
to each public, private and parochial school in the State.
WHEREAS, the Maryland Manual contains a lot of interesting
and valuable information which would be of considerable use
to students studying government in the several schools of the
State; therefore be it
