does not encroach upon the sidewalks of the town or make
it necessary for pedestrians to leave the sidewalks in order
to proceed to their destination. Parking at no time will be
permitted where "No Parking" signs have been erected
under the direction of the Commissioners. All operators
and any person, firm or corporation violating any of the
foregoing regulations shall be subject to arrest and the
following fines and penalties, not less than seven dollars and
fifty cents nor more than ten dollars for the first offense
and not less than ten dollars nor over twenty dollars for
subsequent arrests and convictions for the same offense.
Said fines to be imposed by the Police Magistrate for Queen
Anne's County, State of Maryland.

It shall be unlawful for the operators of private garages
to use the sidewalks of the town or any part of them to
park automotive vehicles on the sidewalks of the town for
any purpose whatsoever; fine for violation of this section
shall be not less than seven dollars and fifty cents nor over
ten dollars for the first offense and not less than ten dol-
lars nor over twenty dollars for subsequent arrests and
convictions for the same offense. Said fines to be imposed
by the Police Magistrate for Queen Anne's County, State
of Maryland.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Sections 325,
328, 328A, 330, 343, 343A and 353-353E of this Act shall
not become effective until submitted to the legally qualified
voters of the Town of Queenstown at the next municipal
election, to be held in June, 1939. There shall be printed on
the ballots to be used at said election the words "For
Amendment to Town Charter" and "Against Amendment
to Town Charter" and directly opposite each of said propo-
sition, a square or box in which each voter may indicate
his or her choice. If a majority of those voting on said
question shall be "For Amendment to Town Charter, " then
the provisions of said sections shall become immediately
effective, but if a majority of those voting thereon shall be
"Against Amendment to Town Charter, " then the provi-
sions of said sections shall be null and void and of no
effect whatsoever.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1939.
