1670 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 774

amendments, and that seven new sections be and they are
hereby added to said Article, said new sections to be known
as Sections 328A, 343A, 353A, 353B, 353C, 353D and 353E,
and all to read as follows:

325. All persons of twenty-one years of age and up-
wards owning property in said town, or who shall have
resided in said town for the period of six months previous
to any election for Town Commissioners, being of twenty-
one years of age and upwards and who shall be qualified
to vote for delegates to the General Assembly of Mary-
land, shall be entitled to vote for Town Commissioners,
provided, they are taxpayers on property located or held
in said town, and any resident property holder and tax-
payer in said town of twenty-one years and upwards,
qualified to vote for delegates to the General Assembly as
aforesaid, shall be qualified to hold the office of Town Com-
missioner, and the first election for Town Commissioners
under this law shall be held on the first Monday in June,
nineteen hundred and thirty-nine, or as soon thereafter as
may be convenient, and annually thereafter, after ten days'
notice of the time and place for holding the same, at which
said election three persons shall be elected as Town Com-
missioners of said town to hold office from the date of
their election until their successors are elected and qualify,
one Commissioner so elected shall be chosen by the elected
Commissioners to serve for a period of two years from the
date of the election, the two shall serve for a period of one
year from the date of their election.

All elections shall be under the control and supervision of
three judges to be chosen and appointed by the retiring
Commissioners of said town, and all vacancies occurring
in said office shall be at once filled by the appointment of
the remaining Commissioner or Commissioners.

328. The said, "The Commissioners of Queenstown, "
are hereby authorized and empowered to establish building
lines and to grant permits for new buildings, including the
erection of. gasoline filling stations and gasoline pumps, in
said town and inspect plans for all buildings, within the
town of Queenstown; and to impose an annual tax on all
dogs kept in said town and to issue licenses in the month
of May of each and every year, collecting at the time of the
license being granted, one dollar for every dog, and for
every bitch two dollars; and the owner of every dog or bitch
for which a license shall be obtained shall have a collar put
around the neck of said dog or bitch; and every other dog
or bitch found going at large in said town, shall be shot or
