to New Market, $800. 00 to Thurmont, $300. 00 to Walkers-
ville, $200. 00 to Woodsboro, $100. 00 to Burkittsville, the
said fund to be expended for street construction, recon-
struction and repairs, with preference to be given to such
streets as connect up with State or County roads; provided,
however, that the State Roads Commission may demand
plans, specifications, or cost estimates from any incorpor-
ated town showing where and how each such town shall
expend its allocation. If such plans, specifications and esti-
mates of any towns are not satisfactory to the said State
Roads Commission, the said Commission shall refuse to pay
the said allotment to said town and such allotment shall be
credited to Frederick County. All street construction and
maintenance work shall be done under competent supervi-
sion and in accordance with the plans and specifications
approved by the commission.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1939.

(Senate Bill 405)
AN ACT to repeal and reenact, with amendments, Section
84 of Article 12 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Garrett County", sub-
title "County Commissioners", as said section was
amended by Chapter 85 of the Acts of 1933 (General
Session), restricting the amount which the County Com-
missioners of Garrett County and their agents may spend
each year for traveling expenses in the conduct of busi-
ness outside the County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 84 of Article 12 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Gar-
rett County", subtitle "County Commissioners", as said
section was amended by Chapter 85 of the Acts of 1933
(General Session), be and the same is hereby repealed and
reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
84. The County Commissioners of Garrett County
shall receive for their services as such Commissioners, an
annual salary of nine hundred ($900. 00) dollars each, pay-
