maintenance of the said The Washington County Free
Library. In addition to the above amount, the said Mayor
and Council of Hagerstown are hereby authorized, in their
discretion, to appropriate not exceeding $1, 000 annually
for the care and maintenance of said Library.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1st, 1939.

CHAPTER 760.
(Senate Bill 340)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
93 of Article 23 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1924 Edition) title "Corporations", sub-title '"Dissolu-
tion", as the same was repealed and re-enacted by
Chapter 198 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland at its 1937 Session.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That Section 93 of Article 23 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1924 Edition) as the same was repealed
and re-enacted by Chapter 198 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland at its 1937 Session, title "Corpora-
tions", sub-title "Dissolution", be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted with amendments to read as
follows:

93 (a) No corporation shall be dissolved by decree of
any court of this State unless there shall have been filed
in such court a certificate of counsel of record that notice
that dissolution of the corporation by decree of such court
was proposed had been mailed by registered mail to the
Comptroller of the Treasury twenty days or more before
the entry of such decree.

(b) No articles of dissolution of any corporation of
this State shall be received for record by the State Tax
Commission unless there shall be attached thereto a cer-
tificate of the Comptroller of the Treasury that all taxes
assessed by the State Tax Commission and certified to the
Comptroller for collection (including taxes for the year in
which the dissolution is to be effected) have been paid.

(c) Whenever a corporation of this State is dissolved
in any manner whatsoever it shall be the duty of the
