any distinctive part of such uniform or a uniform any part of
which is similar to a distinctive part of the duly prescribed
uniform of the Montgomery County Police. The Chief of Police
shall at all times be under the supervision and order of the
County Commissioners, and he may at any time with or with-
out cause or notice be removed from office by the Board of
County Commissioners.

Sec. 7. The County Commissioners are hereby authorized,
directed and empowered to purchase an adequate number of
motor vehicles, police weapons and ammunition as the County
Commissioners in their discretion determine, for the use of
the members of the County Police. Each member of the Mont-
gomery County Police and the park police shall maintain a
telephone at his residence, and shall pay all bills for such
telephone, and the County Commissioners of Montgomery
County are hereby prohibited from reimbursing such members
for any expense connected with the installation, maintenance
or use of said telephones.

Sec. 8. The automobiles or motorcycles and weapons, uni-
forms and equipment purchased under this Act shall be and
remain the property of the agency which purchased them, and
the failure of any officer to whom any automobile, motorcycle
uniform, equipment or weapon has been issued, upon his sepa-
ration for any cause from the force, to return such equipment
to said agency, shall constitute a misdemeanor punishable by
a fine not to exceed One Hundred ($100. 00) Dollars. Any
officer using a motor vehicle furnished him for police duty for
other than such police duty shall be immediately brought to
trial before the Trial Board and upon conviction, shall be
dismissed from the force.

Sec. 9. The County Commissioners are hereby authorized,
directed and empowered to maintain in the town of Rock
ville, Montgomery County, an office for the Chief of the Mont-
gomery County Police and for the storage of all records and
equipment necessary for the conduct of said police, said office
to be known as and designated as "Headquarters of the
Montgomery County Police", and at which headquarters a
member of the Montgomery County Police force shall always
be assigned to duty, and to maintain sub-stations at which at
least one member of the said force shall be assigned to duty
at all times, in such building or buildings, as the said County
Commissioners may designate, one of said sub-stations to be
located in or near the town of Bethesda, and on or near the
Georgetown-Rockville turnpike or Wisconsin Avenue Exten-
sion, and one sub-station to be located in or near the town of;
