Dollars per annum, payable monthly; and shall designate the
remaining officers so appointed as patrolmen at a salary not to
exceed One Thousand, Eight Hundred ($1, 800. 00) Dollars per
annum, payable monthly, and the County Commissioners are
further authorized to set up a fund equal to the total amount
of three hundred ($300) dollars for each member of the police
force, with the exception of the Chief of Police, which fund
shall be used by the County Commissioners for the purpose of
defraying each member's expenses for material and supplies
for his motorcycle, automobile, uniform and official equip-
ment; provided, however, that in no case will the fund so
established be paid to the members of the police force, but
shall be used to pay vouchers for all expenses submitted by
the members, which vouchers shall first bear the endorsement
of the sergeant in charge of the member's sub-station, and of
the Chief of Police. The Chief of Police, and the members of
the Montgomery County Police shall receive in addition to the
amounts herein specified, no other fees or compensation of any
kind whatsoever. The County Commissioners are hereby au-
thorized to increase the compensation of the members of said
force designated as "Patrolmen" tip to but not exceeding the
sum of One Thousand, Nine Hundred and Eighty ($1, 980. 00)
Dollars per annum, said increase to be granted as follows:
Upon the completion of each two years of service the com-
pensation of said patrolmen shall be increased Sixty ($60. 00)
Dollars per annum until such time as the total annual com-
pensation of a patrolman so compensated shall not exceed
One Thousand, Nine Hundred and Eighty ($1, 980. 00) Dollars
per annum, provided that the increase of Sixty ($60. 00) Dol-
lars per annum may be given for each two years of service on
said police force prior to the effective date of this Act, and
provided, further, that no additional compensation herein
authorized shall be granted except upon the recommendation
of the Chief of Police of Montgomery County and as herein
authorized.

Sec. 6. The members of the Montgomery County Police
appointed as aforesaid be and they are hereby required to re-
port to the Chief of Police immediately after their appoint-
ment and qualification, and shall be at all times under the
supervision and orders of the said Chief of Police. Each of
the members as aforesaid shall at all times while on duty,
unless otherwise ordered by the Chief of Police, wear such
uniforms and equipment as may be prescribed by the County
Commissioners. It shall be a misdemeanor punishable by a
fine not to exceed Twenty-five Dollars ($25. 00) for any person
not a member of the Montgomery County Police to wear the
duly prescribed uniform of the Montgomery County Police or
