to enforce tax liability at the Town Hall in Chesapeake
Beach, Maryland, and authorizing the Commissioners of
Chesapeake Beach through their authorized agent to bid at
any sale of real or personal property for municipal taxes
due thereon and to purchase the same; and thereafter to sell
the same for such price as said Commissioners may deem
proper.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and the same is hereby added to
Article 5 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"Calvert County", sub-title "Chesapeake Beach", to be known
as Section 44A, and to follow immediately after Section 44 of
said Article, said new section to read as follows:
44A. The Treasurer and Collector of taxes due the Com-
missioners of Chesapeake Beach is hereby authorized and em-
powered to conduct tax sales at the Town Hall in Chesapeake
Beach, Maryland, with the same force and effect as if said sales
had been made at the Court House Door. The Commissioners
of Chesapeake Beach through their duly authorized agent are
hereby authorized and empowered to bid at any sale of real or
personal property for the collection of municipal taxes due
thereon and may purchase any such property offered at such
sale, whereupon such property shall upon final ratification of
the sale thereof, be conveyed to the Commissioners of Chesa-
peake Beach and the property thus acquired shall be held for
the use of the Town of Chesapeake Beach. Said Commissioners
are hereby authorized and empowered to sell any property so
acquired upon such terms and for such price and in such
manner as they may from time to time determine to be in the
best interest of said municipality.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1939.

AN ACT designating as closed area in or on which hunting,
taking, capturing, or killing, or attempting to take, capture,
or kill migratory birds is prohibited, a certain area of wa-
ter in Chesapeake Bay, near the mouth of the Susquehanna
River in Harford and Cecil Counties.
