be known as Section 509A and to follow immediately after
Section 509 and to be under a new sub-title to be called "Weap-
ons", and to read as follows:
509A. It shall be the duty of every person, firm, or cor-
poration selling, bartering or otherwise exchanging or dis-
posing of blackjacks, sandbags, sandclubs, metal knuckles or
similar weapons, to keep a "Record Book" in which shall be
recorded the name of the purchaser, barterer or pledger, after
proper identification, and said person shall sign his name in
said book, giving his place of residence and the date of the
transaction. The said Record Book shall be open for inspec-
tion during the regular business hours to the Sheriff and Police
of Anne Arundel County and the Police of Annapolis.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1939.

CHAPTER 710.
(House Bill 231)
AN ACT to repeal Chapter 194 of the Acts of 1918 and to add
three new sections to Article 48 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1935 Supplement), title "Inspections", sub-title
"Tobacco", said new sections to be known as Sections 52B,
52C and 52D and to follow immediately after Section 52A
of said Article, relating to the buying and selling of leaf
tobacco, requiring a license therefor and providing penalties
for the violation thereof.

CHAPTER 711.
(House Bill 114)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
59A of Article 17 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1935
Supplement), title "Clerks of Courts", sub-title "Clerks of
Circuit Courts", relating to the kind of type to be used in
printed forms of certain instruments offered for recordation.
