restored to the owner thereof within twenty-four hours, shall
be delivered by the finder thereof to the Police Commissioner,
to be by him held and disposed of as required by law in the
case of lost and stolen property. Any person violating the
provisions of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor,
and shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine not exceeding
ten dollars.

379. The said Police Commissioner is authorized and em-
powered to set aside and designate certain places in, the City
of Baltimore to be occupied and used as public or private
stands for taxicabs, and to stipulate the number of such
vehicles which may occupy or use each of such stands, and to
make regulations for the occupation and use of such stands.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this section or
any regulation made by the said Police Commissioner under
the authority in this section conferred shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor, and shall, upon conviction, forfeit and pay a
fine of not exceeding twenty dollars.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Sections 380 and
381 of said Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1938 Edition), title "City of Baltimore", sub-title
"Hackney Carriages", be and they are hereby repealed.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1939.

CHAPTER 709.
(House Bill 256)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 2 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Anne
Arundel County", said new section to be known as Section
509A and to follow immediately after Section 509 and to be
under a new sub-title to be called "Weapons", requiring a
record to be kept of all sales in Anne Arundel County of
blackjacks, metal knuckles and similar weapons,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Anne Arundel County", said new section to
