1452 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 693

Ninth: A statement that the applicant if granted a license
will conform to all laws and regulations relating to the busi-
ness in which the applicant proposes to engage.

Tenth: A statement by the owner of the premises and by
the applicant authorizing the Sheriff of Caroline County and
his deputies, or the County Commissioners of Caroline County
or any person designated by them for said purpose, to inspect
and search, without warrant, at all hours, any building and
premises in which any beverages are authorized to be sold
under this Act, and that any evidence discovered during any
such inspection shall be admissible in any prosecution for the
violation of the provisions of this or any other Act, or upon
any hearing for a revocation, suspension or restriction of the
license of the person, firm, corporation or association who has
obtained a license to sell beverages in such building or prem-
ises.

Eleventh: Applications for all licenses shall be:

(a) Fled with the Clerk of the County Commissioners for
Caroline County.

(b) Signed with the applicant's own signature.

(c) Signed by the owner of the premises with his own sig-
nature.

(d) A fee of five dollars ($5. 00) shall accompany each ap-
plication filed, to defray the costs of advertising the fact of
such application to the public in one or more newspapers in
Caroline County and for such other costs and expenses as may
be necessary in the consideration of the application by the
Commissioners, no portion of which is to be returned to the
applicant whether or not his application is favorably acted
upon by the said Commissioners.

This application must be verified by the affidavit of the
petitioner made before a Notary Public or other person duly
authorized by law to administer oaths. If any false state-
ment is made in any part of said application the said appli-
cant or applicants shall be deemed guilty of perjury, and upon
conviction thereof his license shall be revoked and the appli-
cant subjected to the penalties provided by law for that
crime.

379. Licenses issued under authority of this Act shall be
of two kinds: "Off Sale" and "On Sale" licenses. "Off Sale"
licenses shall permit the licensees to sell said beverages in
original packages containing one or more bottles for con-
sumption off the premises only and "On Sale" licenses shall
permit the licensees to sell said beverages for consumption on
the premises; provided that no sales shall be made to any
person under the age of twenty-one (21) years and that "On
