easterly direction, a distance of 7000 feet, more or less, to a
point in the west marginal line of a county road leading south
from the Mt. Aetna Road, thence with the west marginal line
of the said County Road a distance of 550 feet, more or less,
to the intersection of the west marginal line of the aforesaid
County Road and the south marginal line of the Mt. Aetna
Road, thence leaving the said road in a general northerly di-
rection, a distance of 5, 825 feet, more or less, to the south mar-
ginal line of the Cavetown Pike, thence, across the Cavetown
Pike with the division line between the tract of land known as
"Kailer's Addition" and the lands of George Henneberger and
Gertie V. Sharp, a distance of 1, 800 feet, more or less, to the
south marginal line of the Paper Mill Road, thence with the
south marginal line of the Paper Mill Road in a southwesterly
direction, a distance of 200 feet, more or less, to the line of the
east marginal line of Pangborn Boulevard, thence with the
east marginal line of Pangborn Boulevard in a general north-
erly direction, a distance of 1325 feet to a point where the
Pangborn Boulevard makes a right angle turn westward, thence
with the north marginal line of Pangborn Boulevard in a west-
erly direction, a distance of 100 feet, more or less, to a point,
thence leaving the said Pangborn Boulevard and in a northerly
direction, a distance of 3680 feet, more or less, to the north
marginal line of the County Road leading from the Hagers-
town-Leitersburg Turnpike to Fiddlersburg, the place of be-
ginning; excluding, however, from the aforegoing description,
all the hereby annexed property included in the aforegoing
description which is not owned by the Mayor arid Council of
Hagerstown at the time of the effective date of this Act ac-
cording to the land records of Washington County, it being
the intent and purpose of this Act to annex only the City
Farm and any other property belonging to the Mayor and
Council of Hagerstown within the boundaries as above de-
scribed.

Provided, however, that for development, drainage, sewer-
age, sanitary and police purposes, the Mayor and Council of
Hagerstown shall have and exercise full power and control for
a distance of one mile in every direction from said corporate
limits.

229A. The said Mayor and Council of Hagerstown shall
cause two plats of the survey of said city to be made and
certified by the County Surveyor of Washington County; one
of which shall be recorded in the office of the Clerk of the Cir-
cuit Court for Washington County and the other kept by the
said Mayor and Council of Hagerstown; the copies of the plat
recorded as aforesaid, duly certified by said clerk under the
seal of his office shall be admitted as evidence by all Courts
within the State.
