votes in the district where he resides at the primary elec-
tion, shall be certified to by the Supervisors of Elections
as the nominee of the political party to which he belongs,
and the name of said nominee shall be placed on the offi-
cial ballot to be used in the general election.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That if any provi-
sion of this Act is held invalid, the remainder of the Act
shall not be affected thereby.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or
parts of Acts, whether Public General or Public Local, or
special, except Chapter 206 of the Acts of 1937, inconsist-
ent with the provisions of this Act be, and they hereby are
repealed to the extent of such inconsistency but if Chapter
206 of the Acts of 1937 is adopted in accordance with its
provisions by the qualified voters of Anne Arundel County,
then this Act shall be void and of no effect.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect on June 1, 1939.

CHAPTER 84.

AN ACT to add two new sections to Article 27 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1935 Supplement), title "Crimes
and Punishments", sub-title "Sabbath Breaking", said new
sections to be known as Sections 483N and 483-O and to
follow immediately after Section 483M of said Article, to
permit the exhibition of motion pictures and the operation
of bowling alleys in Wicomico County 011 Sunday, during
certain hours and providing for a referendum thereon.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That two new sections be and they are hereby added to
Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1935 Supple-
ment), title "Crimes and Punishments", sub-title "Sabbath
Breaking", said new sections to be known as Sections 483N
and 483-O and to follow immediately after Section 483M of
said Article, and to read as follows:
483N. Nothing contained in Section 483 or 485 of this
