Article, authorizing the County Commissioners of Wicomico
and Worcester Counties to rent, lease or purchase certain
machinery and equipment.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Wicomico County", sub-title "Pocomoke River",
said new section to be known as Section 175A, to follow imme-
diately after Section 175 of said Article; and that a new sec-
tion be and it is hereby added to Article 24 of said Code, title
"Worcester County", sub-title "Drainage", said new section
to be known as Section 75A, to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 75 of said Article, and all to read as follows:

175A. (75A. ) Said County Commissioners shall have au-
thority, in their discretion, to rent, lease or purchase ma-
chinery and equipment designed for construction and mainte-
nance of drainage channels.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1939.

AN ACT to add six new sections to Article 48 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1935 Supplement), title "Inspec-
tions", to be under a new sub-title "Mosquito Control", said
new sections to be known as Sections 70, 70A, 70B, 70C,
70D and 70E, to follow immediately after Section 69 of
said Article, to authorize and empower the State Board of
Agriculture to carry on certain activities for control or
elimination of mosquitoes, to construct and maintain ditches
and other facilities and to place insecticides or other sub-
stances in order to control or eliminate mosquitoes, to ex-
pend for said purposes such money as may be appropriated
in the State Budget or otherwise for mosquito control, to
receive from any county, municipality or special taxing
district funds for the purposes contemplated by this Act
and to expend the same for the purposes authorized therein,
to contract with any county, municipality or special taxing
district with respect to the construction or maintenance of
