22, 1933, February 20, 1935, and June 23, 1936, and
recorded respectively among the said Land Records in
Liber C. K. W. No. 562 at folio 222, Liber C. K. W. No.
584 at folio 446, and Liber C. K. W. No. 632 at folio 142;
and in executing the five aforesaid deeds, be and the same
is hereby ratified, approved and confirmed and that said
deeds be, and they are hereby, made valid to all intents
and purposes as though, before the said Mayor and Council
granted and conveyed said property as aforesaid and exe-
cuted the aforesaid deeds, the said Mayor and Council had
express authorization of the General Assembly so to do.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the Mayor and
the Council of Glen Echo are hereby authorized and empow-
ered to sell and convey unto the Conduit Road Fire Board,
Inc., a body corporate under the laws of this State, all of
that remaining part of that circle of land originally con-
taining two acres, which said circle is shown on the Plat
known as National Chatauqua Glen Echo, as the said circle
is shown as Reservation for Women's Temple, as said
Plat is recorded among the aforesaid Land Records in
Plat Book lettered "B, " Plats numbered 16 and 17, for
such amount and on such terms as the said Mayor and
Council may deem to be for the best interests of the Town
of Glen Echo, provided that the said Mayor and Council
shall deem the sale of such property for the best interest
of the Town, and further that they shall determine that
the land herein authorized to be sold is no longer necessary
or desirable to be held for the purposes of the Town; said
"remaining part" being all of said circle not heretofore
conveyed to said Fire Board.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the health, morals, safety
and welfare, and being passed by yea and nay vote, sup-
ported by three fifths of all the members elected to each
of the two houses of the General Assembly, the same shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
