SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That if any provision
of this Act, or the application thereof to any person or cir-
cumstances, is held invalid, the remainder of the Act and
the application of such provision to other persons or circum-
stances shall not be affected thereby.
SEC. 8. And be it further enacted, That all laws or parts of
any Public General or Public Local Laws inconsistent with
the provisions of this Act be and the same are hereby re-
pealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
SEC. 9. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on June 1, 1939.

AN ACT to ratify and confirm the action of the Mayor
and Council of Glen Echo in Montgomery County in
conveying certain real property to the Washington Sub-
urban Sanitary Commission and to Charles W. Ballen-
ger, and in conveying certain real and personal property
to the Conduit Road Fire Board, Inc., by deeds recorded
in the Land Records of said County; to make the same
valid and effective; and to authorize the conveyance by
the said Mayor and Council of certain real estate in
the said Town to the Conduit Road Fire Board, Inc.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the action of the Mayor and Council of
Glen Echo in granting and conveying certain real property
situate and lying in the Town of Glen Echo in Montgom-
ery County to the Washington Suburban Sanitary Com-
mission by deed dated July 2, 1926, and recorded among
the Land Records for Montgomery County in Liber P. B. R.
No. 404 at folio 381, the action of said Mayor and Council
in conveying real estate situate and lying in said Glen
Echo to Charles W. Ballenger by deed dated October 28,
1932, and recorded among said Land Records in Liber
C. K. W. No. 544 at folio 243, and in conveying certain
real and personal property then owned by the said Mayor
and Council and situate in Glen Echo to the Conduit Road
Fire Board, Inc., by deeds dated respectively, September
