for the hearing of applications for reinstatements by persons
whose names shall have been stricken off, the said respective
officers of registration shall sit at said several sittings, with
open doors from eight o'clock A. M. to eight o'clock P. M. on
each day of their sessions, and their proceedings, while so
sitting, shall be public and open to free inspection, without
any obstruction whatever.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1939.

CHAPTER 547.
(House Bill 708)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 17 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Prince
George's County", sub-title "Sabbath Breaking", said sec-
tion to be known as Section 898A and to follow immediately
after Section 898 of said Article, providing for the opera-
tion of bowling alleys during certain hours on Sundays in
that part of Prince George's County, not within the corpo-
rate limits of any incorporated town.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That a new section be and is hereby added to Article 17
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition),
title "Prince George's County", sub-title "Sabbath Breaking",
said new section to be known as Section 898A, to follow imme-
diately after Section 898 of said Article, and to read as fol-
lows:

898A. Notwithstanding any provision of any Public
General or Public Local Law, it shall be lawful to operate any
bowling alley, tenpin alley, or duckpin alley for recreation or
profit in that part of Prince George's County not within the
corporate limits of any incorporated town on the Lords Day,
commonly called Sunday, after 2. 00 o'clock P. M., and until
12. 00 o'clock midnight.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Sections 483 and
485 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924
Edition), title "Crimes and Punishments", sub-title "Sabbath
Breaking", and Section 898 of Article 17 of the Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Prince George's
