273. All primary and general elections, registration and re-
vision days shall commence at eight o'clock in the morning
of the respective days and shall continue without adjournment,
and shall be closed at eight o'clock in the evening of the same
day, and no ballot shall be taken and no person registered
nor the list of voters revised before the said hour of eight
o'clock in the morning, nor after the hour of eight o'clock in
the evening.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1939.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 243
of Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Washington County", sub-title
"Hagerstown", changing the date and hours for registration
and re-instatements of voters of Hagerstown.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 243 of Article 22 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Washington
County", sub-title "Hagerstown", be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted with amendments to read as follows:
243. The said officers of registration, appointed for any
registration district in the City of Hagerstown, shall endorse
upon the back and write at the head of each registry of voters,
delivered to him as aforesaid, the number of the ward of
which said books may be respectively, the registries of said
voters; and shall sit for the purpose of ascertaining and reg-
istering in the said two duplicate registeries of voters of each
of the wards of which they may be officers of registration, at
some place to be selected by him, as convenient as possible to
all residents of said wards, for two successive days in March,
in the year 1941; said sittings to begin on the second Tuesday
in March in the year 1941 and on the second Tuesday in March
every four years thereafter. They shall also sit on the second
Wednesday after the first Monday in March in the year nine-
teen hundred and forty-one and on the second Wednesday
after the first Monday in March of every four years thereafter,
