with the Board of Estimates, representing the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore, for the use of the fire engines,
fire apparatus and water of said city in the extinguishment
of fires in the First Precinct of the Fifth Election District
of Anne Arundel County, and to relieve Baltimore City of
any liability for damages caused by said fire engines or
apparatus in said Fifth Election District.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1980
Edition), title "Anne Arundel County, " sub-title "County
Commissioners, 7' said new section to be known as Section 241A
and to follow immediately after Section 241 of said Article
and to read as follows:

241A. The County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County
are hereby authorized to contract or enter into an agreement
with the Board of Estimates of Baltimore City, representing
the Mayor and City Council of said city, for the use of the
fire engines, fire apparatus and water of said city in the ex-
tinguishment of fires in the First Precinct of the Fifth Elec-
tion District of Anne Arundel County. The City of Balti-
more shall not be liable for any damages caused by said fire
engines or fire apparatus in the said Fifth Election District
and any contract or agreement made between the County Com-
missioners of Anne Arundel County and the Board of Esti-
mates shall contain a provision relieving said city of any such
liability.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1931.

CHAPTER 394.

AN ACT to create a special taxing area or district in the First
Election District of Howard County and to authorize the
Board of County Commissioners of Howard County to bor^
row upon the faith and credit of said county a sum of money
not exceeding seven per cent. (7%) of the assessable prop-
