to imprisonment upon conviction before any Justice of the
Peace of Allegany County for a period of not less than thirty
days nor more than one year in the Allegany County Jail or in
the House of Correction of Maryland; provided that this sec-
tion shall not, apply to any resident of Allegany County who
shall not be employed at the time of his arrest by reason of any
strike or lockout occurring in any industry located in Allegany
County.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Section 529 of
Article 527 of Bagby's Annotated Code of Maryland, Edition
of 1924, be and the same is hereby repealed in so far as the
same is inconsistent therewith and no further.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect upon the 1st day of June, 1931.

CHAPTER 59.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
119 of Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Allegany County, " sub-title
"County Tax Collectors, " providing for the rate of interest
- to be charged for taxes in arrears.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 119 of Article 1 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Allegany
County, " sub-title "County Tax Collectors, " be and the same
is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, so as to-
read as follows:
119. The County Commissioners of said county shall make
their annual levy for State and county taxes on the third
Tuesday in April in each and every year. Upon all tax bills
for county purposes, which shall be paid in full on or before
the thirtieth day of June in the year of the levy thereof, a dis-
count of five per centum shall be deducted from the1 amount
thereof, and upon all tax bills paid during the month of July
succeeding the levy thereof a discount of four per centum shall
