sub-title "Justices of the Peace and Constables, " known as
Section 355A and to follow immediately after Section 355, is
hereby added to said Article 1, said new section to read as
follows:
355A. There shall be appointed by the Governor as afore-
said, one Justice of the Peace, and none other, for Election
District No. 13, in Allegany County, Maryland; said Justice
so appointed shall receive an annual salary of six hundred
dollars, payable monthly, by the County Commissioners for
Allegany County, which said salary shall be in lieu of all
fees and costs in criminal cases, all of which said fees and
costs in criminal cases, including fees and costs in motor
vehicle cases, shall be remitted monthly to the County Treas-
urer of Allegany County.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the first day of June, 1931.

CHAPTER 54.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section US'
of Article 14 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Howard County, " subtitle
"Election Officers, " fixing the compensation of Supervisors*
of Elections of Howard County and clarifying the law with
reference thereto.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 118 of Article 14 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Howard
County, " sub-title "Election Officers, " be and the same is here-
by repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as fol-
lows:
118. Each Supervisor of Elections for Howard County
shall be paid a salary of two hundred dollars ($200) per year,
the said salary to be paid as provided in Section 3 of Article
33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1929 Supplement),,
and said Supervisors of Elections for Howard County shall
