CHAPTER 320.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
132 of Chapter 233 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland, Session of 1927, said section being1 designated
as Section 203 of Article 16 of the Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Montgomery County, " sub-title "County
Treasurer, " in the codification of said Public Local Laws of
Maryland, edited by Horace E. Flack, under the provisions
of Chapter 193 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland, Session of 1929; so as to provide for the appoint-
ment, bond, duties and compensation of two Assistant Treas-
urers and other clerks; to provide for the keeping of the
collection books of the Treasurer in complete accord with
the assessment books in the office of the Board of County
Commissioners.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 132 of Chapter 233 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland, Session of 1927, said
section being designated as Section 203 of Article 16 of the
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Montgomery County, "
sub-title "County Treasurer, " in the codification of said Public
Local Laws of Maryland, edited by Horace E. Flack, under
the provisions of Chapter 193 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, Session of 1929, be and the said sec-
tion is hereby repealed and re-enacted to read as follows:
203. The Board of County Commissioners of Montgomery
County, upon the recommendation of the Treasurer, shall ap-
point two assistant treasurers at annual salaries of twenty-one
hundred dollars ($2, 100. 00) and eighteen hundred dollars
($1, 800. 00) each, payable in equal monthly installments, and
shall furnish such additional clerks and assistants at such
compensation as the Board of County Commissioners may, in
its discretion, deem necessary, and all assistants and all clerks
so appointed shall take the oath of office prescribed by the
Constitution of this State and shall execute such bond or
bonds as the Board of County Commissioners may require,
premiums on said bonds to be levied for and paid out of
county funds by the Board of County Commissioners. The
assistant treasurer or treasurers so appointed, or either of
them, shall, upon the written authority of the Treasurer, do
and perform any act or acts which can be legally performed
