Commissioners of Hancock, $1, 500; to the Burgess and Council
of Boonsboro, $800; to the Burgess and Commissioners of Smiths-
burg, $800; to the Burgess and Commissioners of Clearspring,
$500; to the Burgess and Commissioners of Funkstown, $500;
to the Burgess and Commissioners of Keedysville, $500; and to
the Burgess and Commissioners of Sharpsburg, $500. The sums
so paid to said Mayor and Council or Burgess and Commission-
ers shall be expended by said officers, respectively, for the re-
pair, 'maintenance and/or improvement of the streets and roads
within the corporate limits of said respective cities or towns as
a part of the public roads of "Washington County.
The said County Commissioners of Washington County are
hereby authorized and directed to levy the amount necessary to
pay the above-mentioned sums of money.
SEC. 2. And Be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1931.

CHAPTER 319.
AN ACT to repeal Section 146 of Article 16 of the Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Montgomery County, " sub-
title "County Commissioners, " said section having been codi-
fied and edited by Horace E. Flack, and designated as Sec-
tion 216 of said Article 16, and which section provides for
the appointment of an auditor by the Circuit Court of Mont-
gomery County, defines his duties in auditing books and
records of the treasurer of Montgomery County and provides
for his compensation.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 146 of Article 16 of the Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "Montgomery County, " sub-title
"County Commissioners, " said section having been codified
and edited by Horace E. Flack and designated as Section 216
of said Article 16, and which section provides for the appoint-
ment of an auditor by the Circuit Court for Montgomery
County, defines his duties in auditing the books and records
of the treasurer of Montgomery County and provides for his
compensation be and the said section is hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1931.
