SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 72 of Article 72, title "Oysters, " sub-title
"Potomac, " as same was enacted by Chapter 476 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of 1927, be and the same is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted to read as follows:

Section 72. Closed Season for Catching Oysters. It shall not
be lawful for any citizen of either State to take oysters with
tongs from the waters of the Potomac River between the fifteenth
day of April and the fifteenth day of September of each year,
except as hereinafter provided in Section 74; it shall not be law-
ful for any person to have in possession any oysters taken from
the waters of the Potomac River between the twentieth day of
April and the fifteenth day of September of each year. Every
person found guilty of violating any of the provisions of this
section shall be fined not less than fifty dollars nor more than
five hundred dollars for each offense, and the vessel, together
with its equipment and cargo, used in violating any such pro-
visions shall be forfeited to the State.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all laws or parts
of laws of the State of Maryland, general or local, inconsistent
with the provisions of this Act, be and the same are hereby re-
pealed to the extent of such inconsistency.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1931, to conform with a similar Act already passed
by the General Assembly of the State of Virginia.

CHAPTER 299.

AN ACT to add a new paragraph to Section 7 of Article 81
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1929 Supplement), title
1' Revenue and Taxes, '7 sub-title *' Ordinary Taxes, '' sub-
heading "What Shall Be Taxed and Where, " said new para-
graph to be known as paragraph (32) and to follow imme-
diately after paragraph (31) of said section, exempting the
intangible personal property of The Hibernian Society of
Baltimore used exclusively for a school or schools or the main-
tenance thereof.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new paragraph be and it is hereby added to Sec-
