tion of the Commissioner, but shall not at any time exceed the
aggregate of one thousand acres or be placed in any area other
than the one mentioned above.
When and after said markers have been erected the Com-
missioner shall give notice thereof by advertisement for a
period of four weeks in one of the newspapers of Dorchester
County, advising and warning the public against the disturb-
ance or removal of said buoys or the trespassing upon the
waters of said farm for the purpose of taking or catching oys-
ters or disturbing or interfering with the oysters, shells, cultch,
or any equipment used by the Conservation Department for
the purpose of experimental work.
16IB. For the purpose of operating the experimental farm,
provided for in the above section, the Conservation Commis-
sioner is authorized to transplant seed oysters, shells, or cultch;
to propagate seed oysters; to protect the catch of young growth
of oysters; to conduct any and all experiments in connection
with the research work of the Chesapeake Biological Labora-
tory, and transplant and dispose of any catch of seed oysters
or cultch, taken from said farm to other waters of the State
to continue such experimental work.
161C. Any person catching or receiving oysters or cultch
from said area without permission from the Conservation Com-
missioner or the director of the laboratory, or any one disturb-
ing or interfering with the markers, buoys or other monuments,
erected on said area, or with any baskets and other equipment
set out in the water for experimental purposes, shall be guilty
of a misdemeanor and be subject to the penalty prescribed in
Section 156.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all laws or parts
of laws inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby
repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.

AN ACT to repeal and%e-enaet Section 72 of Article 72, title
"Oysters, " sub-title "'Potomac, " as same was enacted by
Chapter 476 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1927,
relating to the seasons for catching oysters in the Potomac
River.
