be found in said county, in any case he may pay the said sur-
plus into the Court ratifying the sale, with a detailed statement
showing such surplus, and the said Court may dispose of the
same.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1931.

CHAPTER 297.

AN ACT to add three new sections to Article 72 of the Code
of Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Oysters, " sub-
title "Reserved Areas, " said new sections to be known as
Sections 161A, 161B and 1610, and to follow immediately
after Section 161 of said Article, relating to the reservation
of a certain area of oyster rocks for the purpose of main-
taining an experimental oyster farm in connection with the
Chesapeake Biological Laboratory.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That three new sections be and they are hereby
added to Article 72 of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland, title "Oysters, ", sub-title "Reserved Areas, " said
new sections to be known as Sections 161A, 161B and 161C,
and to follow immediately after Section 161 of said Article
and to read as follows:

161 A. The Conservation Commissioner of Maryland is au-
thorized to select and reserve one thousand acres of the natural
oyster beds, bars or rocks in Honga River, lying northerly and
above a line drawn from Wheat-ley Point on Wrotens Island to
the northeasternmost point on Gunners Island, to be designated
with suitable markers, as hereinafter provided, said area to be
known as "State Experimental Oyster Farm. "

It shall be the duty of the Conservation Commissioner to
lay out and mark said farm by at least four suitable markers,
buoys or monuments, to be numbered respectively, one to be
placed on each corner of the area, and if additional ones are
required, they should be placed at such points as may be deemed
necessary; said area shall be subject to change at the discre-
