ter 8 of the Acts of 1900 of the General Assembly of Mary-
land.

WHEREAS, by the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land passed as its session of 1892 and known as Chapter
87 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of that
year, certain named individuals were incorporated and made a
body politic by the corporate name of "Trustees of the Home
for the Aged of Frederick City, " and by that name to have
perpetual succession and be capable in law of receiving and
holding in trust and of using and disposing of all kinds of gifts,
grants, conveyances, donations, devises and bequests of estate,
real, personal and mixed property and effects not exceeding in
amount one hundred thousand dollars; and

WHEREAS, by the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland,
passed at its session of 1900 and known as Chapter 8 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of that year the amount of estate,
real, personal and mixed property and effects which the said
corporation might receive or hold was increased to a sum not
exceeding in amount three hundred thousand dollars; and

WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assembly that
the success of the said corporation in carrying on and providing
a home and comforts for such aged persons as might need the
same has far exceeded the expectations of its promoters and
originators and that the said corporation is engaged in a meri-
torious, charitable and benevolent work; and

WHEREAS, it is further represented to this General Assembly
that the amount of money and property which the said corpo-
ration "Trustees of the Home for the Aged of Frederick City"
is authorized to receive and hold under and by virtue of said
Act of incorporation is now inadequate to carry forward and
promote the work of said institution; therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the "Trustees of the Home for the Aged of Fred-
erick City7? be and it is hereby authorized and empowered ir-
respective of the limitations as to amount heretofore author-
ized, and without any limitation as to amount to receive and
hold and to use and dispose of all kinds of gifts, grants, con-
veyances, donations, devises and bequests of estate, real, per-
sonal and mixed property and effects in the manner provided
in said Chapter 87 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land of the year 1892.
