619 ALBERT C. RITCHIE, GOVERNOR.

County, an office for the Chief of the Prince George's County
Police and for a storage of all records and equipment as necessary
for the conduct of said police, said office to be known and
designated as "Headquarters of the Prince George's County
Police, " and at which headquarters a member or representative
of the Prince George's County Police shall be on duty at all
times, and to maintain a sub-station, at which a member or
representative of the said police shall likewise be on duty at
all times, in such building as the said County Commissioner,
may designate, said sub-station to be located in or near the
Town of Hyattsville in said county. The County Commis-
sioners are authorized, directed and empowered to spend such
sums as may be necessary for the maintenance and equipment
of said headquarters and sub-station.

SEC. 11. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners shall create and set apart a fund to be known and
designated as "The Police Fund, " and the County Commis-
sioners are authorized, empowered and directed to levy each
and every year such sum or sums as may be necessary to carry
out the purpose and intent of this Act.

SEC. 12. And be it further enacted, That all fines, penal-
ties and forfeitures of every kind, character and description for
any and all offenses imposed by any justice of the peace, the
police justice, or any judge of the Circuit Court for Prince
George's County, and collected by any officer authorized to
collect the same, shall within thirty days from the date of its
collection, be paid over to the County Commissioners, and said
County Commissioners are hereby authorized, empowered and
directed to expend for the maintenance and upkeep of said
police force, and the salaries and expenses incurred thereby,
any sum or sums of money necessary to better govern and
police the county; provided, however, that the payment over
of the fines, penalties and forfeitures to the County Commis-
sioners as herein provided, shall have no reference to, nor
shall it apply to, either the provisions of Section 4 of Article
38, title "Fines and Forfeitures, " nor to Section 178 of Article
56, title "Licenses, " sub-title "Disposition of Fines and Other
Receipts, " nor to any other section or sections of the Motor
Vehicle Law of the State of Maryland wherein said fines or
forfeitures are directed to be paid over to the Commissioner
of Motor Vehicles; nor to any fines, penalties or forfeitures
directed by Article 99, title. "Wild Fowl—Birds and Game, "
