missioners are authorized to allow the said Chief of Police
the sum of three hundred dollars ($300. 00) per annum, pay-
able in equal monthly instalments, for maintenance and upkeep
of an automobile to be used by the Chief of Police and any
expenses for uniforms to be worn as the County Commis-
sioners may prescribe for the said Chief of Police. That the
Chief of Police, as aforesaid, shall have control and super-
vision over the other members of the police force and shall
assign members of said force to such duties, and to such hours
as he may think proper, subject, however, at all times to such
rules, orders and regulations as the County Commissioners may
from time to time prescribe or ordain.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners shall designate two of said police officers, so ap-
pointed, as Sergeants of the Prince George's County Police, at
a salary of eighteen hundred dollars ($1, 800. 00) per annum
each, payable in equal monthly instalments and no other fees
or compensation whatsoever, except that in addition to the
salary aforesaid, the said Commissioners are authorized to
allow each of the said Sergeants of Police the sum of three
hundred dollars ($300. 00) per annum, payable in equal
monthly instalments, for maintenance and upkeep of an auto-
mobile to be used by each of the said Sergeants of Police and
any expenses for uniforms to be worn, as the County Com-
missioners may from time to. time prescribe or ordain.

SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That the other Con-
stables at Large, and so appointed, shall each receive a salary
of fifteen hundred dollars ($1, 500. 00) per annum, payable in
equal monthly instalments, and no other fees or compensation
whatsoever^ except, however, that in addition to the salary
aforesaid, those so appointed, shall receive the sum of three
hundred dollars ($300. 00) per annum, payable in equal
monthly instalments, in lieu of all other expenses to the county
for the maintenance and upkeep of a motorcycle or other motor
vehicle to be furnished by the County Commissioners in such
number as in their discretion may be necessary, as well as any
expenses for uniforms, to be worn by them, as may be required
by the County Commissioners.

SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That the members of the
Prince George's County Police, appointed as aforesaid, are
hereby required to report to the Chief of Police immediately
