vide for a headquarters for said Police at Upper Marlboro,
and a sub-station for said Police at or near the Town of
Hyattsville, and to provide rules and regulations governing
the duties and responsibilities of the Prince George's County
Police as Constables at Large, and to provide for their
compensation and expenses of equipment.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Chapter 518 of the Acts of the General As-
sembly of Maryland, Session of 1927, be and the same is here-
by repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That in Prince George's
County there shall be a police force, which by virtue of this
Act shall consist of eleven Constables at Large, who shall
constitute and are hereby declared to be the Prince George's
County Police.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of Prince George's County are hereby authorized,
empowered and directed to appoint eleven Constables at Large
for Prince George's County on the first Monday in June, 1931,
to serve for a term of two years from the date of their appoint-
ment, and they shall, on the first Monday in June in every
second year thereafter, appoint eleven Constables at Large for
said county for the term of two years, who shall constitute the
Prince George's County Police. And the County Commis-
sioners shall have, at any and all times, the power and au-
thority to remove, for cause, any one or more of said Constables
at Large, and so appointed, at the pleasure of a majority of
said Commissioners, provided they shall first cause said Con-
stable or Constables to be notified in writing, specifying the
nature and kind of charge or charges made against them, at
least five days in advance of a day set for a hearing before said
Commissioners; and to fill any vacancy or vacancies that may
occur for unexpired terms in the manner hereinbefore pre-
scribed for original appointments.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That the said Commis-
sioners shall designate one of said Constables at Large, so
appointed, as Chief of the Prince George's County Police at a
salary of twenty-one hundred dollars ($2, 100. 00) "per annum,
payable in equal monthly instalments and no other fees or
compensation whatsoever, except that the said County Com-
